We are a friendly and successful school which celebrates our diverse community.
Our aim is to provide a quality education that motivates and inspires a love of learning, in a caring environment where everyone is valued and respect is paramount and where children love their learning.
Darenth Community Primary School is a small primary school catering for children aged four and a half to eleven years old, situated in the village of Darenth, on Green Street Green Road (B260) between the town of Dartford (3 miles away) and the Village of Longfield. The school is in a rural setting and is fortunate in having a large playing field. Though rural we are only 15 minutes from the Bluewater Shopping Centre and the new Ebbsfleet Station offering access to France and beyond.
The locality is in an expanding and growing area with the development of the Thames Corridor.
To provide a quality education that motivates and inspires a love of learning, in a caring environment
where everyone is valued and respect is paramount.
The school is set within large grounds. We currently have 7 classrooms and a nature room, spread out around the school. Currently the original building is home to the office and admin block, along with the year 5 and 6 classrooms.
The block at the top of the school, is home to the year 4, 3, 2 and 1 class. The recent development of the space between year 1 and 2 has lead to increased learning space within this area and made it bright and vibrant learning space.
Early Years have their own seperate classroom and benefit from their own outside area and climbing area. They also have the use of the large covered area between their classroom and the hall.
The school has a seperate library and large hall.
The Reception and Year 1 have part of the field to play on. If the field is too wet they have their own playground with a Trim Trail.
Years 2 to 6 pupils have a very large playing field with a separate football area, a Trim Trail and a playground with Basketball hoops, they also have a quiet area where they can sit under the gazebo. There are also seated areas under the trees.
We have a wide range of play equipment for all children to use.
We have a fenced off area with a pond which has fish, frogs and small wildlife in this area which classes often go to and learn about.
