The school has a uniform, which is both smart and economical. The school sweatshirt has proved extremely popular and durable and is strongly recommended. It can be worn with a grey skirt or grey trousers. If you are knitting or buying woollen tops, would you keep to royal blue. Dresses in blue and white stripes or gingham are acceptable summer wear. The school does not permit the wearing of multicoloured/patterned tee-shirts or ones with vivid pictures or slogans, jeans, tracksuits or sundresses.
Please ensure ALL REMOVABLE CLOTHING IS CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME and hanging loops are kept in good repair.
Please ensure that shoes/sandals worn to school have flat heels and a back support. Thick wooden or wedge soles are potentially dangerous and can permanently damage growing feet.
Please note we request all girls with long hair tied back at all times, this is for health and safety reasons.
Toys should not be brought into school, or any articles that could cause damage in play, such as knives, sticks etc., radios, tape recorders, hand held video games, electronic pets etc., must not be brought into school. WE ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBLITY FOR LOST ARTICLES should this advice be ignored.
Jewellery, apart from watches, should not be worn in school. If a child’s ears are pierced, then studs ONLY are acceptable. Children must be responsible for the care of their own watches and personal belongings. Alarms on watches must not be set off in school.
Nail varnish is NOT permitted.
There is very limited cloakroom space, so bags should be as small as practicable. The school provides the first book bag and PE bag: replacements bags may be purchased from the school.
